Divorce is a slap in the face to me
I found out today that a cousin of mine wants to divorce her loving husband.
They have two small children together.
I went to their wedding.
I am so angry at her.
This year there are now four marriages close to me that are ending.
My Dad’s Best Man was allegedly unfaithful.
My Dad’s brother-in-law was admittedly unfaithful.
A friend of mine, her husband is not only unabashedly unfaithful, but also an emotionally psycho bipolar man who refuses to get help.
And now my cousin wants to divorce her husband because he doesn’t “meet her needs”.
It of all these things, only my friend I would say to divorce because the man is really abusive and he won’t change.
I think divorce in any other case except for adultery or abuse is selfish.
Love is not a feeling. It’s an action. It’s something you do.
Feelings change everyday.
I told my boyfriend how sometimes just want to smack him. My feelings of affection ebb and flow and will continue to do so forever.
It doesn’t mean that when we argue or my feelings change that I’m going to leave him.
No, I stick by him because I made the decision to do so.
I act love to the best of my feeble human ability.
